BIOCHEMISTRY

The Biochemistry degree at the Universidad de La Frontera was born in 2011 under the umbrella of the Department of Chemical Sciences and Natural Resources, in response to global needs in relation to health, aging, food, the environment and the sustained growth that must be addressed with the generation of knowledge and its application.

The rapid development of bioscience encouraged us to train highly innovative professionals. Biosciences and their biotechnological applications are considered to be the ones that will have the greatest impact, after information technologies, on the expansion of the economy. The knowledge-based economy requires professionals with solid and continuous training to lead research and development and innovation in the country.
